야쿠트 샤만과 러시아 식민지배

Abstract

야쿠트인들은 현재 러시아의 동북부지방, 즉 시베리아의 동북부지역에 살고 있다 그들은 지금까지 근 350년동안 러시아의 지배 하에서 살고 있는데, 그들의 전통종교의 중요한 종교지도자 중의 하나였던 흰샤만이 어떤 과정을 통하여 19세기 초에 완전히 사라지게 되었는 지를 알아보는 것이 이 논문의 목적이다. 흰샤만들은 야쿠트사회의 사제직을 맡고 있었는데, 그들과 경쟁관계에 서 있었던 토욘의 권력증가와 러시아 정교회의 세력확장, 17, 18세기의 사회조직의 변화 등이 흰샤만의 몰락을 가져왔다 현재 야쿠트에는 샤마니즘의 부흥을 꾀하는 움직임이 활발한 편인데, 이들은 야쿠트 식민사에서 후기에 해당되는 19세기의 전통을 모델로 삼지 않고, 17, 18세기의 문화 이상형을 많은 부분에서 따르고자 한다. 이러한 이상형들, 즉 전통은 현재 여러 가지 문화운동의 선택 범위로 작용하면서 현재를 제약한다. The Yakuts live in the north-east of Russia, or Siberia. They are till now under the Russian Authority for about 350 years. This thesis aims to describe and explain the process of the disappearing of the White-Shaman of the Yakut in the beginning of the 19th. century. The yakutian White-Shaman was the priest of the yakutian religion. The increase of the power of the Toyon, who stood in the competition with the White-Shaman in the yakutian society, the expansion of the Russian-Orthodox and tile change of the social organization cause the disappearance of the White-Shaman. Nowadays there are in Yakut the cultural movements that revival the traditional shamanism. But it is interesting that the model of this movement is not the tradition of the 19th century but of the 17, 18th century. This traditional "pure" form of the yakutian culture puts restrictions on the future of the yakutian culture.
