Perception on oral condition management and periodontal disease management was higher in maintenance patients than in new patients.
According to the results of this study as presented above, recognition of both oral condition management and periodontal disease management was higher in maintenance patients than in new patients. In addition, maintenance and management produced the effect of efficient oral health promotion and patients' perception on maintenance was also positive. Above all it is necessary to introduce and execute maintenance systems at private medical institutions in order to improve and maintain people's dental health. Moreover, it is necessary to develop systematic maintenance and management programs and to continue relevant researches to utilize maintenance systems at community dental clinics.
