Abstract
Yoido Full Gospel Church(YFGC) was established by Rev. Yonggi Cho and Rev. Jashil Choe as a small tent church with only five members in 1959. When YFGC came to have a chapel building first time in 1962, its congregation grew to 800 members. In 1973, a new chapel was built at Yoido, which could accommodate 10,000 persons. From then on, the growth was accelerated and the number of believers reached to 100,000 in 1979, to 200,000 in 1981, and to 500,000 in 1984. In 1994, YFGC was reported as the largest church in the world having 666,061 believers, 717 pastors and clergies, and 76,902 general board members.
