남성공무원과 여성공무원의 윤리적 판단 비교

Abstract

본 연구는 부산과 경남의 공무원 590명을 대상으로 남녀 간 윤리적 판단의 수준을 비교한 것으로, 분석결과 나타난 주요한 발견은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대체로 윤리적 판단수준은 남성과 여성 공무원 간에 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 여성적 가치의 윤리인 '배려'를 남성적 가치인 '정의'보다 높은 수준의 윤리로 평가하였다. 셋째, '정의'와 '배려'문제 모두에서 남성과 여성 공무원 간 윤리적 판단수준의 명확한 차이는 없었다. 넷째, 첫 번째와 세 번째의 결과(남녀 간 차이없음)는 낮은 연령층과 높은 연령층에서 동일하게 나타났다. 분석결과를 바탕으로 조직 내 여성인력의 효과적 관리방안과 행정윤리 특히 여성적 가치의 윤리를 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. This study investigated gender differences in the ethical judgement of 589 public officials. Four major findings are reported: (1) on the average, there were no significant differences in ethical judgement between male and female public officials; (2) 'caring' issues scored higher than 'justice' issues in the level of ethical judgement; (3) no significant differences were observed in male and female responses to 'justice' issues and 'caring' issues; (4) there were no significant differences in ethical judgement between males and females either in the younger age group or in the older age group. The implications of these findings are discussed.
