李晩燾의 生涯와 響山古宅 소장 典籍에 관한 硏究

Abstract

본 연구에서는 향산 이만도의 가문에서 家傳되고 있는 고문서 및 고서의 내용을 분석해 보았다. 고문서류를 통해서 보면 향산가의 학문세계를 통한 현실인식과 대응자세의 일단을 파악할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 한말에서 일제강점기에 이르는 극한적 민족모순의 시대상황을 극복하기 위한 방안을 모색하고 있던 그들의 고뇌와 향산가의 생활상의 일면을 보여주는 것이라는 점에서 중요한 사료적 성격을 갖는 것으로 평가된다. 고서는 이만도와 그의 후손들과 직접적으로 연관된 자료들도 적지 않아 상당한 학문적，문화재적 가치를 지닌 것으로 평가된다. This study has analyzed the classical books and documents inherited and kept by the family of Lee, Mando with the pen name of Hyangsan. An analysis of these classical writings shows the family s perception of reality through the academic world and their response to such reality. Besides, it reveals their suffering and other aspects of their everγday life which they had while finding ways of getting over the extremely hard times, when Japan was about to occupy the Joseon Dynasty. So these materials are regarded as historically important. There are a large number of documents directly related to Lee, Mando and his posterity, which are evaluated as assets of considerable academic and cultural value.
