Decision - Making Process in Korean Public Administration : The Rate Setting of Public Utilities in the Korean Central Government

Abstract

The objectives of the research were (1) to examine the decision making process on the setting of public utility rates in the Korean central government with emphasis on the actual and dynamic process of decision making, and (2) to recommend the changes necessary in organizational structure, procedures and the major factors to be taken into account in the determination of a spectific rate. In this paper the writer concerns himself only with the first objective.
