The development of favorable attitudes is widely accepted as a highly important aim for education, and for Law-related Education in particular. In this study, law-related attitudes are defined as five different attitudinal dimensions, understanding of law, interest of law reliability of law, efficacy of law, competence of law. Purposes of this study are to investigate the tendency of progress of1aw-related attitudes of the primary & Secondary students and to examine and improve the Law-related Education in Korea. The inquiry was conducted to the 468 male and the 463 female students of the ten Primary & Secondary schools located in Seoul, to gather 931. Statistical methods applied are T-test and One-way ANOVA. As the result of the above analysis, most distinctive characteristics of the legal attitudes of Korean students can be summarized as follows: In general, Korean students' understanding of law is concentrated on their interests in the punitive, criminal law-like aspects of law and the social, contractual, civil law-like aspects of law alike. SO Korean students' understanding of law is mingled with the pre-modern and the modern legal values. Above all, though school years go up, the traditional pre-modern legal values do not appear to move toward the reasonable modern legal values. And due to the skepticism about the legal reliability and low level of the legal interest, as school years go up, senses of legal incapacity and tendency of legal avoidance are more and more deepening. So Law-related Education of the school nowadays does not encourage students to develop favorable legal attitudes. Therefore, in order to develop favorable legal attitudes of students, we should have more interest in and make best endeavours to develop favorable legal attitudes of students.-
