사이버 공간에서의 청소년 행동특성 연구

Abstract

With the advance of computers and online networks - especially the internet - a new dimension of human experience is rapidly opening up. This new dimension is called "cyberspace". For many adolescents the cyberspace is no less treasured or real than the "real" thing. What draws adolescents to the world of the internet? In this study, we found out why junior-senior high school students connect to internet and what their behavioral characteristics are in cyberspace. Junior-senior high school students connect to internet for self-developing and escaping. Adolescents are grappling with who they are. Actually, we all are it's a lifelong process. But for adolescents on the verge of leaving home and establishing their own life, its a particularly intense issue; What kind of person am I? What do I want to do with my life? What kind of relationships do I want? These are burdensome questions. and some of the answers can be found in cyberspace. The behavioral characteristics of junior-senior high school students in cyberspace include cyber-ego, cyber communication, cyber-freedom and cyber-negative effects. These four factors are divided into ten sub-factors such as text-based communication, new relationship with humans, self expression, internet game, neglect of time are space, open and share, anonymity, opened sex-culture, discourtesy, distrust, and internet-addiction. These behavioral characteristics differ according to sex, school level, achievement, and students' character.
