dc.description.abstract | Four majour components separated from the reaction product of ammonia-hypochlorite-thymol were seemed tobe isomers of an indophenol, ie., 5-methyl-2-isopropyl-(6'-methyl -3'-isopropyl-4'- hydroxy) -phenyl indophenol, 3-methyl-6-isopropyl-(6'-methyl-3'-isoprop yl-4'-hydroxy)-phenylindophenol, 5-methyl-2-isopropyl-(6'-methyl-3'-isopropyl-2'-hydroxy)-phenyl indophenol and 3-methyl-6-isopropyl-(6'-methyl-3'-isopropyl-2'-hydroxy)-phenyl indophenol. In the present work, two more possible structures, 5-methyl-2-isopropyl-(5'-methyl-2'-isopropyl-3'-hydroxy)-phenyl indophenol and 3-methyl-6-isopropyl-(5'-methyl-2'-isopropyl-3'-hydroxy)-phenyl indophenol were established from the work of analysis of spectral data and chromatographic characteristics of ammonia-hypochlorite-thymol reaction products. | - |
