Peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) refers to a heterogenous
group of lymphoma originated from mature
T cells. PTCL includes a series of rare but specified
disorders, such as the enteropathy-associated T-cell
lymphoma, the hepatosplenic T-cell lymphoma, the
subcutaneous panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma, the
primary cutaneous peripheral T-cell lymphoma, rare
subtypes and the extranodal natural killer (NK)⁄ T-cell
lymphoma, nasal type. The term PTCL, not otherwise
specified (PTCL-NOS) is now used in the
revised World Health Organization classification
instead of the previous name PTCL-unspecified and
refers to unclassifiable PTCL that do not fit any of
the defined entities.1–3 The most common presentation
of PTCL-NOS is generalized lymph node
enlargement, but extranodal involvement including
bone marrow, liver, spleen and skin is also found.4
We report a case of PTCL-NOS with unusual cutaneous
manifestation.
