Interview with Yeong Mog PARK

Abstract

Yeong Mog PARK graduated from the department of visual communication and industrial design at Seoul National University, and completed MFA in art and design from University of Tsukuba majoring in product design and user interface. He worked in Daewoo Electronics Design Center for 17 years. He also completed the doctorate course in department of Confucian studies. He is now pursuing research on his main interest, engrafting traditional Korean thought into contemporary design. He is presently an associate professor of faculty of craft and design at Seoul National University. 박영목은 서울대학교 산업디자인과를 졸업하고 제품디자인, 사용자 인터 페이스를 전공으로 일본 츠쿠바대학의 예술학 석사과정을 마쳤다. 대우 전자의 디자인본부에 17년간 근무하였으며 한국의 전통사상과 현대디자 인의 접목에 관한 연구분야에 많은 관심을 가지고 연구를 진행하고 있다. 이를 위하여 성균관대학교 유학(儒學)과 박사과정을 수료하고, 서울대학 교 미술대학 디자인학부의 교수로 재직 중이다.
