중국 북경 지역 한국어 교육 현황과 과제

Abstract

Korean language education has developed at record scale these years in terms of the increasing number of students and teachers, textbooks development, progress in research, etc. Despite all the achievements mentioned above, there is still room for improvement. First, some problems still exist with the internal factors of Korean language teaching, such as teachers' qualities to be improved, quality textbooks to be developed, teachers' research abilities to be enhanced. Second, some external obstacles hinder progress in Korean language teaching, like inadequate support from the government, decreasing demands for Korean majors brought about by the recent economic crisis, imbalance of supply and demand for Korean majors with the sharp increase in Korean language education institutions in China. This paper introduces the present state of Korean language teaching in Beijing, with emphasis on the problems existing in education institutions, teacher's quality, textbooks, intellectual research, etc, for the purpose of offering some suggestions for further development.

본고에서는 북경지역을 중심으로 한국어교육의 제반 환경과 향후 발전 방향을 살펴보았다. 최근 들어 북경을 중심으로 중국 전역에서 한국어 교육이 전성기를 맞이하여 교육자와 학습자, 교재 사용, 연구 실적 등에서 현저한 변화를 가져왔다. 하지만 이러한 괄목한 성과를 이루었다고 하여 만족만하고 있을 일은 아닌 것 같다. 먼저 한국어 교육의 내적 요인을 볼 때 한국어 교사 자질 향상, 이상적인 교재 개발, 교사 연구 능력 향상 등 과제가 직면해 있고, 다음 외부 요인을 살펴볼 때, 한국어 교육기관에 대한 정책적인 지원, 글로벌 경제 위기에 따른 한국어 인재 수요의 급감, 중국 내 한국어 교육기관의 급증 등과 같은 문제가 봉착해 있다. 이에 대비에 본고에서는 북경지역 한국어 교육 기본 현황과 존재하는 문제점들을 살펴보고 한국어 교육의 건전한 발전을 위해 교육기관, 교사자질, 교재, 한국어 학술 연구 등 4가지 면으로 나누어서 향후 발전 방향을 모색하였다.
