이원수 동시에 나타난 자연 이미지의 교육적 탐색

Abstract

이 연구는 이원수 동시에 나타난 자연 이미지의 양상과 그 의미를 살펴보았다. 연구사적 맥락에서 볼 때 이원수의 동시는 주로 현실주의적 관점에서 다루어졌으나 데뷔작인 ｢고향의 봄｣에서부터 이원수는 많은 작품에서 우리나라의 평범한 시골 풍경과 그 속에서 펼쳐지는 아이들의 일상을 재현해 왔다.

고향과 자연의 아름다움을 노래한 그의 동시에서, 자연은 객관적인 이미지로 제시되거나 유희적으로 창조된 이미지에 그치지 않고 시인의 절실한 정서를 매개하는 역할을 해 왔다. 이원수 동시에서 자연 이미지는 (1) 시적 화자의 그리움을 매개하는 역할을 하기도 하고, (2) 인간과 동등한 위치에서 상호 교감하고 배려해야 할 대상으로 제시되기도 하며, 한 걸음 더 나아가 (3) 시적 화자와 독자로 하여금 자연과 함께 살아가면서 배워야 할 지혜를 일러주기도 한다.

This study examined the aspect and meaning of natural images appearing in Lee Won Sus childrens poems. In his childrens poems that sang for home and natures beauty, nature was presented not either as an objective image or as an image limited to a merrily created image, but played a role of mediating poets thorough emotion. In Lee Won Su childrens poem, natural images 1 played a role of mediating poetic speakers nostalgia, 2 were presented as an object with which was to be inter‐sympathized and solicited in a position equal to human beings, and further more 3 told wisdom that both the poetic speaker and readers should learn through living with the nature.
