글 내용의 전개 방식에 대하여

Abstract

이 글은 전개 방식의 개념, 성격, 유형, 종류에 대해 천착해 보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 전개 방식이란 필자가 글의 내용을 구성해 가는 과정의 각 시점에서 해당 부분의 내용을 펼쳐 나가는 방식이다. 이 개념 정의에는 동적 과정과 부분 이라는 변별자질이 포함되어 있다. 그리고 전개 방식은 문장, 단락, 부분 등 여러 층위에서 작용하는 다층성, 생성 활동과 조직 및 표현 활동으로서의 성격을 동시에 지니는 다면성, 동일한 전개 방식이라도 글을 쓰는 목적이나 상황에 따라 구체적인 적용 양상이 달라지는 다변성을 지니고 있다. 전개 방식을 유형화하는 기준은 2가지이다. 첫째는 과제 유형에 따라 정체 및 특성 밝히기, 과정 및 경위 밝히기, 이치 및 가치 밝히기의 세 가지로 나눌 수 있다. 둘째는 전개 방식 그 자체가 지니고 있는 특성에 따라 내용 생성형 전개 방식, 내용 속성형 전개 방식, 내용 배열형 전개 방식의 세 가지로 분류할 수 있다. 그리고 이렇게 분류된 각 유형에는 구체적인 전개 방식들이 여러 가지씩 존재한다. 이 연구는 국어 교육의 효율성을 높이기 위해서는 무엇보다 먼저 교육 내용에 대한 천착이 필요하다는 점을 보여 주는 사례로서 의미를 지닌다.

The purpose of this paper is to scrutinize the developing methods of contents in writing. The developing methods are ways that writers use to expand contents in each stage during writing. In this definition, there are two distinct features of the developing methods: 'active process' and 'part'. And the developing methods have three characters. First, they operate in each layers of text parts, namely sentence, paragraph, chapter etc.. Second, they operate in each stage during writing, namely inventing, organizing, expressing. Third, they operate with diverse forms depending on the purpose or situation. There are two aspects to classify types of the developing methods. We can classify three types of the developing methods on the base of writing tasks: 'clarifying identity and property', 'clarifying process and cause', 'clarifying reason and value'. And we can classify three types of the developing methods on the base of characteristics of developing methods themselves: 'inventing methods', 'organizing and expressing methods', 'developed contents'. There are many specific developing methods contained in each type. The result of this paper has the significance that we have to scrutinize each educational content in order to improve the efficiency of korean language education.
