학습장애의 진단을 위한 불일치 판별모델

Abstract

본 연구는 학습장애진단을 위해서 활용되어지고 있는 여러 가지 불일치모델에 대하여 선행연구를 통하여 비교분석하였다. 대표적인 불일치 모형인 지능-성취 불일치 모델(개인내 불일치 모델), 저성취 모델(개인간 불일치 모델), 이중불일치 모델 등에 대한 논의들을 종합 정리하였다. 지능-성취 불일치 모델 중 회귀모델은 측정학적인 정확성이 높고 현실적인 적용가능성이 매우 높으나, 지능과 성취라는 이변량을 사용하는 복잡성과 지능구인에 대한 논쟁으로 인하여 비판받았다. 저성취 모델은 학교 현장과 임상실제를 설명하는 데에 가장 기여하는 바가 크나, 아직까지 관련연구가 부족한 상황이다. 또한, 단순히 준거점수만을 사용하여 연속된 정규분포상에 임의로 비연속적인 지점을 설정하는 것은 측정학적 문제점를 발생시킨다. 이중불일치 모델은 중재를 반영하는 보다 진보된 모델이나 교육체제에 요구되어지는 추가적인 비용과 진전도 측정을 위한 평가도구의 부족 등의 이유로 현재 시점에서의 적용가능성에 대해서는 의문점이 있다. 현 단계에서 볼 때 각 모델간에는 각각의 장단점이 존재한다. 국내에서도 이런 각 모델 간에 장단점을 고려하여 보다 체계적인 학습장애 진단 모델을 설정하고 진단모델에 따른 출현율 조사가 조속히 이루어져야 한다.

This study examined the issues of the discrepancy models for identification of learning disabilities(LD). We analyzed three type of severe discrepancy approaches - IQ and achievement discrepancy model(intra-individual achievement discrepancy), lower achievement discrepancy model(inter-individual achievement discrepancy), dual discrepancy model. As a type of IQ and achievement discrepancy model, the regression approach was recommended for its precision and practical application. However, it's also criticized for complexity and controversy over IQ construct. Lower achievement discrepancy model provided the most satisfactory explanation for school-based and clinical-based LD identification practices. Yet, this model had a measurement problem about cut-off score that divided a continuous distribution into arbitrary two groups; LD vs non-LD. Dual discrepancy model was characterized by the evidence-based intervention over a period of time, with emphasis on the education of students with learning disabilities. But, major problem of this model is additional expenses and sophisticated test battery for measuring slope of achievement. Since each model has advantages as well as disadvantage, for the Korean researchers, analysis on the real data-based differences of each discrepancy model and establishment of a systematic model for identification of LD are in order.
