전환기 러시아의 지역주의와 지역정체성 : 러시아연방 부랴찌야공화국의 사례연구

Abstract

1980년대 중반 고르바초프의 개혁·개방정책은 소연방공화국의 민족들의 민족적 자각을 불러일으켰다. 소연방공화국에서 발생한 민족주의 분리주의는 러시아 연방의 민족지역에서 민족부활과 주권선언에 영향을 미쳤다. 러시아연방 구성주체들의 주권선언은 '소비에트 민족'이라는 정체성의 소멸을 의미할 뿐만 아니라, 새로운 정체성의 추구를 의미한다.

그러나 주권선언은 민족지역의 다민족사회에서 발생하였기 때문에, 복잡한 정치적 과정을 초래하였다. 즉, 민족성에 따라 주권선언에 대한 입장이 달랐다. 민족지역의 주권선언, 지역주의는 정체성의 정치를 수반하였다. 소비에트정체성이 사라짐으로써 새로운 민족정체성, 지역정체성이 대두되었고, 이러한 정체성을 바탕으로 지역의 이해를 보호하고 강화하기 위한 정치적 기획, 즉 지역주의가 발생하였다. 이 연구는 지역과 민족을 둘러싼 정체성 정치의 과정, 지역정체성의 형성과 변화에 따른 지역주의 특성 변하에 관한 연구로 러시아연방의 동시베리아에 위치한 부랴찌야공화국을 사례로 하였다.

Perestroika and Glasnost of the Gorbachev's administration in mid-1980s inspired national consciousness and proliferated nationalism and separatism among ethnic groups in Soviet Socialist Republic(SSR), leading to national revival and the declaration of sovereign. This expects the longstanding identity of 'soviet nation' in SSR is being replaced by new identity. However, this does not come true in ease. Since most SSRs are multi-ethnic, the declaration of sovereign often entails in political conflict among ethnic groups. This implies that the declaration of sovereig in the contemporary Russia is pertinent to the politics of identity.

This research addresses the process of the politics of identities around regions and ethnicities with a case study of the Republic of Buryatia.
