실천지(實踐智)로서 안재홍의 벽상관(壁上觀): 식민지 지식인의 대외인식 단면

Abstract

이 글은 식민통치기 비타협적 민족주의자이자 지사적 투사로 평가되는 안재홍의 국제정세 논변을 통해 식민지 지식인의 대외인식 또는 국제정치관을 분석한 것이다. 왜 식민지 지식인의 대외인식을 살펴봐야 하는 것일까? 안재홍의 항일투쟁은 언론을 통해 내부 식민통치구조에 대한 현실적, 도덕적 부당성을 지적하는 동시에 국제정세에 대한 소개와 전달, 진단과 분석을 시도하여 세계질서와 동아시아 질서, 세계사와 한국사의 교차에 의해 한국의 역사적 필연을 밝히는데 집중되어 있기 때문이다. 그것은 식민지 지식인이 취할 수 있는 전략적 수단으로서 정치적 실천지(實踐智)를 제기하는 것이며 벽상관(壁上觀)으로 구체화한다. 동아시아 질서에 대한 벽상관의 태도는 세계 질서에 대한 냉안관(冷眼觀)으로 확대되지만, 그것은 식민지 지식인의 무력함에서 비롯한것이 아니라 역사의 필연성에 기초한 내외 문제의 일원적 해결기제로 제시된 것이었다.

This study analyzes an international viewpoint of colonial intelligentsia through Ahn Jae-hong, who was an uncompromising nationalist and an intelligent warrior. Why should we do it? On one side, Anti-Japanese activities through Ahns arguments in his journals pointed out the real and moral injustices of Japanese domination, and focused on the historical inevitability crossing world history and Korean history on the other side. That was the only rational choice regarding the situation of colonial intelligentsia. Namely, it was observing the situation on the wall as a way of showing political prudence.
