<논리-철학-논고>의 무의미성 : 전통적 해석과

Abstract

비트겐슈타인은 <논고>의 6.54에서 그 저작의 모든 진술들이 결국은 무의미하게 인식되어야 한다고 말한다. 하지만 <논고>를 무의미성을 다루는 지금까지의 해석들(전통적 해석과 새로운 해석)은 만족스러운 답을 내놓지 못했다. 필자는 <논고>의 무의미성을 적절히 해명하기 위해, 강진호의 논문 ｢<논리-철학 논고>의 중대한 오류들｣에 주목한다. 강진호는 그의 논문에서 <논고>의 무의미성이 새로운 해석(또는 단호한 해석)의 보완을 통해 해명될 수 있다고 주장한다. 이 글에서는 우선 강진호의 주장에 대한 문제점을 제기할 것이다. 그의 문제는 새로운 해석을 전통적 해석을 통해 정말로 개선하지 않은 점에 있다. 필자는 그 결점의 해결을 통해 <논고>의 무의미성을 어떻게 적절하게 해석할 수 있는지 고찰하고자 한다.

Wittgenstein says in 6.54 of the Tractatus that all propositions of the book must be finally recognized as unsinnig. However, previous interpretations that deal with the Unsinnigkeit of the Tractatus (the traditional and the new reading) do not offer a satisfactory answer. I pay attention to Jinho Kangs paper to clarify the Unsinnigkeit of the Tractatus. Jinho Kang insists in his paper that the Unsinnigkeit of the Tractatus can be well explained by the supplementary interpretation of the new reading (or resolute reading). This paper initially introduces problems related to Jinho Kangs claim. His problem is that he does not complement the new reading by the traditional reading. I discuss how the Unsinnigkeit of the Tractatus can be appropriately interpreted by remedying his weaknesses.
