국어 문법 교재 개발의 이론과 실제: 2009 개정 국어 교과서에 구현된 문법 성취 기준을 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구는 국어 교과서에 문법 성취 기준이 구현된 양상을 분석함으로써 문법 교재의 문제점을 진단하고 개선 방향을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 2009 개정 7～9학년 국어 교과서 분석 결과, 문법 단원의 독립 구성, 타 영역에서의 문법 학습 연계 부족, 교육 내용의 위계 고려 미흡, 교육 내용의 수준 및 범위의 불일치, 문법 용어의 혼란, 본문 내용의 기술 방식 선택의 자의성 및 학습 활동 유형의 단순화 등의 문제가 확인되었다. 이로 인해 문법 교재가 통합성, 지속적 연계성, 실제성을 적절히 구현하지 못하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 문제의식을 바탕으로 본 연구에서는 문법 교재 개발의 방향으로 통합성, 지속적 연계성, 실제성을 제안하였다. 통합성은 문법 교육 내용을 타 영역과 통합하여 학습자가 총체적 언어 학습을 할 수 있도록 구성해야 함을 의미한다. 지속적 연계성은 문법 성취 기준이 특정 단원에서 다루어진 이후에도 다른 영역과 지속적으로 연계되어 다루어져야 함을 의미하고, 실제성은 문법 지식을 통해 실제 언어생활을 분석하고 반성할 수 있는 능력을 키울 수 있도록 해야 함을 의미한다.

The purpose of this study is to identify the problems inherent in Korean grammar textbooks of grades 7-9 and propose directions for improvement. By analyzing Korean grammar textbooks of grades 7-8 according to the 2009 revised curriculum, we identified problems such as an independent grammar section, lack of connection with other areas, insufficient consideration of hierarchy, discrepancy in level and extent of educational content, confusion in grammar terminology, arbitrariness in methods of description, and a tendency to oversimplify learning activities. Due to these problems, there has been a lack of integration, continuity, and authenticity in grammar education. Based on this analysis, we suggest that grammar achievement needs to be embodied in Korean grammar textbooks with integration, continuity, and authenticity.
