The main purpose for this article lies on what is different between pyeongjo and gyemyeonjo regarding its sigimsae(playing techniques of expressions), and to suggest valid standard for the determination of a proper mode. To guarantee objectivity about the result of the analysis, further interviews were made for the 3 different instrument players, respectively. Through the interview about sigimsae, common factors were found among the interviewees, and the results are as follows: In pyeongjo pieces, hwangjong pitch mostly employs vibrato and employs Chuseong(a gradual pitch raising technique) in sequential descending to namnyeo. Imjong, unlike in gyemyeonjo, employs pyeongseong(literally peaceful or flat meaning little changes on melody) for wind instruments or chuseong for string instruments with less vibrato than in hwangjong when it is led toward jungnyeo pitch. For another pitches in pentatonic components, toeseong is used when the melody progresses one tone lower, and chuseong for two tones lower. For vocals in pyeongjo, the hwangjong pitch employs its melody to be lifted up with vibrato, and employs chuseong or chuseong after a lift-up when imjong pitch progresses toward jungneyo.
