- Abstract
- One big web design trend of the moment is parallax scrolling, which involves the background moving at a slower rate to the foreground, creating a 3D effect as you scroll down the page. It can sometimes be overwhelming, but when used sparingly it can provide a nice, subtle element of depth.
So how formative characteristics of architecture combined with this uncomplicated techniques - parallax scrolling can be?
This study set out to theoretically study Louis Kahn, Frank Gehry, Zaha hadid and apply their formative characteristics to image and web design as media arts - transform formative characteristics into elegant abstract story-like or music rhythm-like of architecture. And its clear I'm asking difficult questions and with the gradual awareness of whats really happening between web environment and architecture environment, my images become even more mesmerising and impressive.
Its this ambiguity about what I am actually depicting but this study will hopefully be followed by many more active researches on the media design that applies structural and formative elements inspired by their architectural works, interactively explore the imagined architecture form.
