The Cosmetic Surgical Shift in Thailand: by the arrival of Korean or Japanese Pop Culture

Abstract

Cosmetic Surgery has been changed in Thailand since the arrival of Korean Pop Culture at the beginning of the millennium. From the social taboo to the acceptance in wider area. While Japanese Pop Culture has long been existing in Thailand many decades before Korean Pop Culture. Japan has an extensive cosmetic surgical development but it has never exported such value abroad. Why Korean and not Japanese, how the Thai Buddhism oriented and Korean confucianism societies became more opened about this issue.
