- Abstract
- This paper studies the protectionism measures taken by the US in steel industry and the response of Japan, China and South Korea in dealing with trade disputes. To achieve this goal, this article takes a research framework of multilateral, regional/bilateral, and domestic influence in forging a countrys international trade policy. Looking through the macro approach of overall reaction to trade disputes, and micro, case study of safeguard measures by the US government in 2002-03, this paper analyzes the distinctive features of Koreas trade policy.
