The Building Information Modeling (BIM) system is gaining popularity in the industry as it has potential to improve operational efficiency. However, few designers have the professional capability of managing BIM and designing a building concurrently. Therefore, in order to harvest the benefits of using BIM, designers employ external BIM experts to do the modeling for their works. This practice creates confusion of the works and subsequently leads to reworks. Therefore, with the use of BIM, there is a need to redevelop the design process focusing on the flow of information which reflects the current situation in the industry. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the design process which employs BIM and determine the improvement due to BIM system with the use of the Dependency Structure Matrix (DSM).-
