공적 공간내 사적영역 이용행태에 관한 연구

Abstract

오늘날 사람은 공(公)과 사(私) 두 가지 상반된 욕구가 있다. 공적 공간에서 더 이상 공만 독립적으로 나타나는 것이 아니라 공과 사가 용합되어 나타나고 있다. 공(公)과 사(私)를 동시에 충족하기 위해서 공적 공간내 사적영역을 형성하는 원리를 탐구했다. 사적영역의 표현형식은 행위와 건축요인 두 가지 있다. 하지만 대부분 선행연구들은 건축요인만 집중했고 그 점에서 한계점을 느꼈다. 따라서 본 논문은 공적 공간내 사적영역 이용행태를 연구했다. 즉 공적 공간내 사람들이 건축요인을 이용하여 사적영역이 형성하는 행위를 관찰하여, 사람의 행위와 건축요인의 관계를 분석하고 공적 공간내 사적영역의 형성하는 원리에 대해 탐구했다. 본 논문의 연구방법은 문헌연구와 조사연구 두 가지이다. 조사연구는 두 개 단계의 연구를 포함한다. 문헌연구는 문헌을 통해 사적영역, 행위와 공적공간에 대해 이론적으로 연구했다. 사적영역과 공적공간에 대해 정의하고 행위, 사적영역과 공적 공간의 관계와 공적 공간의 이론적인 그라데이션을 나누는 방식을 알게 되었다. 첫 단계 조사연구는 도시의 전형적인 공적 공간 내 사적영역 이용행태에 대해 조사했다. 전용보행도로, 카페, 대학교기숙사의 사례로 다양한 타입(Type)과 레벨(Level)의 사적영역을 포함하는 좋은 공적공간의 모습을 설명하고 도면으로 사적영역을 형성하는 건축요인을 간단하게 제시했다. 두 번째 단계 조사연구는 도시 중 공(公)과 사（私）가 긴밀하게 교차되는 대학교기숙사중의 서울대학교 기숙사를 연구대상으로 긴 기간 자세히 조사했다. 학생들이 기숙사 공적 공간 내 사적영역 이용행태에 대해 분석을 통해 행위와 건축적 요인의 관계를 밝히고 사적영역을 형성하는 원리를 탐구한다. 그리고 데이터(data) 분석을 통해 실제 공적공간이 이론적인 그라데이션을 나누는 방식과 일치하는지 검증했다. 본 논문의 연구를 통해 사（私）의 정의와 사적영역, 행위와 공적공간의 관계를 파악할뿐만 아니라 실제 공적 공간은 이론적인 방식대로 그라데이션이 나누어지지 않는다는 것을 밝혔다. 그리고 공적 공간 내 사적영역을 형성하는 원리를 4개 측면, 12개 방법으로 해석했다.

The public space can form a number of private domains with different levels of privacy to accommodate the diverse behaviors. Therefore, this study defines the scope of the public space, and uses the theoretical perspective and behavioral observation as the design principle of the public space. The results of the study are as follows: First, the study divides the private domains into four levels based on the degree of privacy of behavior. The first level is that the behavior is an individual behavior or an intimate behavior of a small group, the second level is a small group behavior, the third level is an encounter, and the fourth level is a small-scale organized behavior. Second, through observation and macroscopic statistics, it is found that when the public space is sorted according to privacy, the actual ordering and theoretical ordering do not match. Thirdly, through in-depth study of individual cases, it is analyzed that the formation of the private domain is related to the four elements of space structure, facilities , design and assurance of domain.
