전시연계 세계시민 예술교육 프로그램 개발연구

Abstract

근래 국제사회에서 우리나라의 위상이 증진됨에 따라 세계시민으로서의 국민들의 인식을 제고하기 위하여 한국국제협력단(KOICA)를 위시하여 여러 교육기관에서는 타 문화권에 대한 전시와 이와 연계된 수업을 통해 세계시민교육을 수행하고 있다. 본 연구는 KOICA지구촌체험관에서 세계시민 예술교육을 위한 전시연계 교육프로그램을 개발 및 평가하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 전시연계 교육프로그램은 교육부에서 발표한 2015개정 교육과정안에 기재되어 있는 세계시민교육의 교과역량을 달성하고자 하였으며, 개발도상국의 문화에 대한 학습자의 이해를 증진하기 위해 문화체육관광부에서 발표한 문화 공적개발원조(ODA)의 원칙 안에서 개발되었다. 본 연구에서 개발한 전시연계 교육프로그램은 가족단위의 수업으로 진행되었고, 유네스코가 제시한 세계시민교육 학습성과표를 통해 학습자의 학습성과를 평가하였다. 본 연구에서 주목한 연구문제는 두 가지이다. 첫 번째는 전시관에서 국제개발협력을 기반으로 하는 세계시민 예술교육은 어떠한 형태로 설계되어야 하는가?이며, 두 번째는 학습자는 세계시민 예술교육을 통해 실제로 세계시민교육의 학습목표에 도달할 수 있는가?이다. 본 연구를 통해 전시연계 교육프로그램이 2015개정 교육과정안중 미술과 교과역량인 미술 문화 이해 능력과 문화ODA 시행원칙을 반영하여 구성될 수 있었음을 보였으며, 학습자가 이를 통해 세계시민교육의 학습성과 영역 중 인지적 영역과 사회·정서적 영역에 학습성과를 달성할 수 있음을 보였다.

As the status of South Korea has been rising in the global community in recent years, many educational institutions including the Korea International Cooperation Agency(KOICA) in the nation have provided global citizenship education based on exhibitions about other cultural areas and lessons associated with them in order to increase the awareness of the South Korean people as global citizens. This study set out to develop and evaluate an exhibition-related educational program for the art education of global citizenship at the Global Village of KOICA. The educational program in the study was designed to help students fulfill the subject competencies of global citizenship education in the "2015 revised education curriculum" announced by the Ministry of Education and developed within the principle of "cultural official development assistance(ODA)" released by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to promote learners' understanding of culture in developing nations. The exhibition-related educational program developed in the study was implemented as a lesson by the family unit and assessed the learning achievements of students based on the "table of learning achievements in global citizenship education" by UNESCO. The study focused on two research questions: first, "In what form should art education for global citizens be designed based on international development cooperation at a gallery?" and second, "Can learners achieve the learning goals of global citizenship education through art education for global citizens?" The findings demonstrate that an exhibition-related educational program could be organized to reflect the "Art Cultural Understanding Capability" one of the competencies in the art subject under the "2015 revised education curriculum" and the "implementation principle of cultural ODA" and that such a program helped learners fulfill learning goals in the cognitive and social & emotional domains among the learning achievement domains of global citizenship education.
