18세기 후반 「攷事十二集」의 편찬 경위와 내용

Abstract

In this thesis, I studied the compilation process of Gosasibijib(攷事十二集), its main contents, and important features of the narrative. The compilation process of the Gosasibijib(攷事十二集) is as follows. Gosasinseo(攷事新書) is the book that revised Gosachwalyo(攷事撮要) and Gosasibijib(攷事十二集) is an additional book of Gosasinseo (攷事新書). Gosachwalyo(攷事撮要) was compiled by Eo Sook-gwon(魚叔權) in 1554. The main contents of the Gosachwalyo(攷事撮要) were related to diplomacy. Eo Sook-gwon(魚叔權), son of a concubine, worked on foreign affairs for a long time as a Rimunhakgwan(吏文學官). He wrote a work reference book, Gosachwalyo(攷事撮 要) for his successor. In 1771, when Seo Myeong-eung(徐命膺) was a jejo(提調) in Gyoseogwan(校書館), he revised and expanded Gosachwalyo(攷事撮要) to publish Gosasinseo(攷事新書). Gosasinseo(攷事新書) was a literature that had been edited and communicated over the years and contained a wide range of knowledge necessary for everyday life and government life. However, Gosasinseo(攷事新書) was not a work of Seo Myeong-eung(徐命膺) alone. Because many people other than him participated in the compilation of Gosasinseo(攷事新書). That is why he revised Gosasinseo(攷事新書) and compiled Gosasibijib(攷事十二集). Gosasibijib(攷事十二集) was more like his personal work than Gosasinseo(攷事新書). With the expansion from Gosasinseo(攷事新書) to Gosasibijib(攷事十二集), there was significant changes in the system and content. Gosasibijib(攷事十二集) consisted of 12 volumes in total. The 1st volume was about astronomy, the 2nd geography, the 3rd history, the 4th office system, the 5th a code of law, the 6th diplomacy, the 7th art and letters, 8th rituals, 9th military, 10th daily life, 11th food, 12th medicine. Gosasibijib(攷事十二集). The descriptive characteristics of Gosasibijib(攷事 十二集) are three: First, Seo Myeong-eung(徐命膺) was wary of superstitious myths in the Gosasibijib(攷事十二集). Second, he did not assert any uncertain facts and was very cautious. Third, he was very interested in practical knowledge.
