- Abstract
- This paper proposes a new method that can be used when virtual ensembles need to be put on to a 3D avatar. We assume that input to the virtual fitting system is a number of garments draped on a target avatar. Then, the problem is to account for the interference between the garments and produce the scene in which the constituent garments are worn in an ensemble. For that, we propose a technique to stratify the garments such that they do not intersect in any region, thus the conventional simulators can start from a workable initial configuration. Then, we introduce the regional simulation omission, which can generate try-on of ensembles in a significantly reduced amount of time. Experiments show that, in the robustness, processing speed, and flexibility, the proposed method is strikingly better than the conventional approach.
