초보자의 머리뼈 학습을 위한 교육용 3D 모델 개발

Abstract

머리뼈의 복잡하고 불규칙한 형태적 특성과 입체적 관찰 필요성때문에 2차원 이미지를 통해 머리뼈를 학습하기 어렵다. 따라서머리뼈 교육 매체는 3차원으로 개발된 것이 많다. 하지만 매체가모바일 어플리케이션이나 웹 환경에서 구동될 때에는 개발에 한계가 따르고, 이는 교육 매체의 문제점으로 이어진다. 따라서 웹과 모바일 환경에 제한받지 않고, 기존 교육 매체가가지고 있는 한계를 개선하여 쉽게 머리뼈를 학습할 수 있게 하며사용자의 구동이 간편한 3D 교육 매체의 개발이 필요하다. 구체적으로는 기존 교육 매체의 한계를 낱개뼈 display 방식에문제가 있다는 점, 세부 구조물 경로의 시각화가 어렵다는 점, 체계적인 접근 방식이 미흡하다는 점으로 보았다. 본 연구에서는 이를 개선하고자 UI를 직관적으로 구성하여 사용자가 간편하게 사용할 수 있도록 하고, 세부 구조물 중 주요 통로와 구멍을 시각화하였으며, 세부 구조물을 그룹화하여 이를 시각적으로 보여주는 방식을 고안하였다.

Due to the complex and irregular morphological characteristics of the skull and the need for stereoscopic observation of it, it is difficult to learn the skull through two-dimensional images. To overcome this, many educational media for head bone anatomy have been developed in three dimensions. However, when the medium is used in a mobile application or web environment, its limited development leads to problems with the educational medium. Therefore, a new 3D educational medium that can recognize the skull with improvement of existing skull educating models, and offer users friendly interface regardless of web and mobile environment is required. This study found the limitations of existing educational media in display method of bones of skull, difficulty in visualizing detailed structure paths, and insufficient systematic approaches. To improve these limitation, this paper suggest the intuitive design of the user interface to make it easy for users to handle, the visualization of major canals and holes among detailed structures, and display method of grouping detailed structures.
