Abstract
The word constitution in its Latin form is of considerable antiquity but it had meanings different from the one we associate with it today. What is meant by a constitution today is a boby of fundamental principle that are to govern the exercise of political power. All constitu-tions in the western tradition have placed great emphasis on the organization of the powers of government and the methods of maintaining effective control.
