dc.description.abstractThe sources of competitive advantages in high technology-based business ventures are entrepreneurial management team and R&D human resources. since they are founded with deficient physical or financial resource. So human resource management style that facilitate the creativeness of personnel. could be critical factor for competitive advantages in technology based business ventures. The people oriented management can be focused as a kind of that human resource management style. But studies on people oriented management in high technology-based business ventures is very deficient. This exploratory study focused on people oriented management style in Korean successful high technology-based business ventures with prof Yookeun Shin's Model (1997). Shin's Model (1997) includes managerial humanism as a managerial paradigm. trust in organization. developmental management approach. autonomous management approach. and participative management approach. This study found managerial paradigm with trust in people and competitive advantage through people. Korean business ventures have developmental management approach with entrepreneurial human resource archetype. education and training. supporting self-directed learning. Tolerance of R&D failure. rational performance appraisal. intrinsic motivation. congruence of individual and organizational vision. entrepreneurial careers. And they have autonomous management approach with autonomous work scheduling. teamwork in team. creative communication. fast decision making. Also. they have participative management approach with open managerial information to all employee. strong membership. profit/deficient-success/failure sharing program. From these findings. this study focused several managerial implication for future high-tech business ventures. and effective Korean people oriented management style.-
