Until recent time many studies for relationship of dental abnormalities and cleft lip and palate were reported, higher prevalence of abnormality was revealed. The patients with large cleft size had significantly more missing teeth than patients with small cleft size. The tooth that is most usually missed in normal population is the mandibular second premolar, followed by the maxillary lateral incisor and the upper second premolar. The aim of this study was to analyze the prevalence of dental abnormalities and ectopic eruption in patients with cleft alveolus visiting our hospital. Radiographs, dental cast and records from about 60 patients were analyzed to find the relation of missing, malformed, malpositioned tooth and delayed eruption and cleft site.en
