- 우리나라는 半島國家로서의 地理的 特殊性으로 말미암아 海運 의 중요성을 예로부터 크게 강조하여 왔다. 특히 오늘날에 와서는 經營規模가 확대되고 物動量이 增大되면서 他輸送手段에 비하여 低廉한 價格으로 大 量輸送이 可能한 海運에의 수송의존도는 한층 더 증대되고 있다.
