dc.description.abstract | This thesis examines the narrative grammar of Wanwolhyemaengyeon in
the point of reading dynamics. Established studies of narrative grammar on river novels focused on Work', but this thesis focuses on readers'. For this, the thesis examined technique of digression', technique of correspondence between opening and close', and technique of repetition'. Firstly looking at technique of digression', the digression among family is activated through insistent appearance of active extras. These digressions make readers meditate existing events, relax, and intervent into the text positively. Looking at technique of correspondence between opening and close', the opening of Wanwolhyemaengyeon promotes readers' understanding and interesting, and prepares the heart of fore stories through presenting fore events plainly. On the other side, the close of the Wanwolhyemaengyeon makes readers experience unique completion of the work through the scene of retrospect on Wanwol pavilion. About technique of repetition, this thesis examined that Wanwolhyemaengyeon make readers awaken earlier events insistently and feel settled rhythm through repetition of similar events. And this technique gives readers broad view point not burying in the existing one event. | - |
