대통령 국정운영 지지의 영향요인 분석: 취임1년차 이명박 대통령에 대한 국민여론조사를 중심으로

Abstract

이 연구는 대통령의 국정운영지지에 미치는 영향 요인을 실증적으로 규명하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 대통령 투표선택 분석에서 설명력이 입즈된 경제투표이론을 기본적 분석렌즈로 채택하여 그 적용가능성을 검토하였다. 또한 한국적 상황에서 경제적 요인의 설명력 한계를 감안하여 전통적 정치요인과 같은 비경제적 요인을 대통령지지의 설명변수에 도입하여 분석모형을 구성하였다. 구체적으로 분석에 사용된 경제적 요인은 개인적 경제상황, 국가적 경제상황, 경제악화 정부책임, 경제정책평가이며, 비경제적 요인은 정부성과(대북정책), 정책이념(경제성장 vs 양극화해소), 정치이념, 정당일체감 및 정부신뢰 등이다. 실증분석을 위한 자료는 동아시아연구원의 여론조사(2009년 2월) 원자료를 이용하였다. 분석결과, 이명박 대통령의 국정운영 지지에는 현 정부의 경제정책에 대한 전망적평가가 가장 영향력 높은 요인이며 국가경제악화에 대한 정부책임 인식 또한 중요한 변수로 나타났다. This study makes an empirical inquriy about the primary factors that influence the public's approval of the president in Korea. In order to do this, applicability was examined based on an analysis of presidential elections. While keeping the fundamentality of the Economic Evaluation Model as a basis, several variables were constructed that might explain presidential approval by considering typical political factors in deriving non-economic factors that fit the Korean situation. In paricualr, the economic factors that were used in this study are egocentric perspective, sociotropic perspective, govermment accountability, and propective evaluation. The non-economic factors that were used in this study included North Korea Policy, policy ideology(economic growth verxuxalleviating economic polarization), political ideology, and party identification, as well as government trust. For the actual analysis, the East Asia Institute's public opinion reseach(Febuary, 2009) was used as the data government's economic policiies was considered the most effective and government accountability was a significant factor.
