借用語의 母國語化에 대한 音輯論的 考察

Abstract

Loanwords have been used as language external evidence effectively and usefully in phonology. Recently a new way of viewing the borrowing and the loanwords was proposed and is getting more and more interest of phonologists. Loan Phonology is the name of the research field in which the borrowing and the loanwords are the central or the main topic. The purpose of this paper is to contribute to Loan Phonology in terms of nativization of loanwords. The concept of phonological process proposed by Stampe was

shown to be very effective device in explaining the nativization of loanwords. Loanwords are nativized through the phonological process and submitted to surface phonetic constraints of the borrowing language.
