dc.description.abstractThe research aims to develop and design an education program of emotional intelligence which will help build childrens personalites and moral characters. Emotional intelligence refers to the abilities and skills of recognizing, understanding, expressing and choosing emotional activities. on the basis of the multiple intelligence (MI) and emotional intelligence (El or EQ) theories, an educational model for enhancing emotional intelligence was set up, focusing on enriching childrens self-regulations and social skills related to emotional activities. The educational model of emotional intelligence consists of the five fundamental components : - Perception, appraisal, and expression of emotion - Empathy with others - Emotional facilitation of thinking

- Understanding and analyzing emotions - Regulation of emotions to promote emotional and intellectual growth According to this model, some educational programs with ten virtues related to emotional abilities were made up and evaluated in the real settings of several elementary schools. on the basis of the results of the evaluation, the programs were revised.
