기획논문 : 공공갈등과 정책조정 연구

Abstract

지난 60여년에 걸쳐 이루어진 ``압축 발전``의 여파로 오늘날 한국은 많은 공공갈등을 경험하고 있으며 그로 인해 과다한 사회 비용을 부담하고 있다. 이와 같은 현상을 가능한 예방하고 효과적으로 해결하기 위한 학문적 노력이 필요하다. 이와 같은 맥락에서 마련된 이 특별 심포지움은 다양한 공공갈등 양상과 그것을 해소하기 위한 정책조정 사례들을 모은 것이다. 각 논문의 소개에 앞서 공공갈등과 정책조정을 연구하기 위한 개념적 및 이론적 준거기준에 관해 논의해본다. Korea achieved state-building in the 1940s-1950s, industrialization in the 1960s-1980s, and democratization from the late 1980s to the present. This ``condensed`` national development, which was achieved in a relatively short period over six decades, has made the country face a wide variety of severe public conflicts at the cost of national competitiveness. In this context, this special symposium intends to collect the results of academic research on cases of public conflicts that have been prevented or resolved (in)effectively in Korea. Each of the collections is introduced briefly here following the conceptual and theoretical frameworks for studying public conflicts and policy coordination.
