객관적 시간 구성에 대한 현상학적 분석 －후설의 이론에 기초하여－

Abstract

In Husserls phenomenological analyses of time, object time constituted upon subjective time-consciousness is distinguished into time of life-world and time of natural sciences. The latter constituted by idealization of the former flows back in life-world. This article investigating this phenomenon of inflow intends to solve difficulties of Husserls theory of life-world and to accentuate critical implications of this theory. By the concept of inflow, the equivocality of life-world, i.e. the pure life-world as sensible world and the universal life-world as cultural world can be explained. Moreover, realization of crisis of modern life-world caused by inflow of natural sciences gives possibility to overcome this crisis.

후설의 현상학적 시간의식 분석에서 주관적 시간의식을 토대로 구성된 객관적 시간은 생활세계 시간과 자연과학 시간이라는 두 층위로 구별된다. 생활세계 시간에 대한 이념화를 통해 자연과학 시간이 구성되며, 이렇게 구성된 자연과학 시간은 다시 생활세계로 유입된다. 본고는 이러한 자연과학 시간의 생활세계로의 유입, 나아가 생활세계 시간의 침식을 범례로 하여, 생활세계 이론이 지닌 난점을 해소하고 이 이론의 비판적 의의를 강조한다. 우선 유입개념에 착목할 때, 현상학적 생활세계 이론에서 나타나는 생활세계의 양의성, 감각적 세계로서의 순수 생활세계와 문화세계로서의 보편 생활세계라는 이중적 규정이 서로 양립 가능함이 드러난다. 나아가 근대 생활세계의 위기가 과학적 세계가 생활세계로 유입하면서 생활세계를 지배하는 현상에서 기인했음을 통찰할 때, 이러한 위기를 극복할 수 있는 가능성이 열리게 된다.
