- 이 冊은 1958年 5月 9日서 12日사이에 Texas 大學에서 第3回로 열린 (1，2回는 各各1956年，1957年) 「英語分析의 諸問題에 關한 會議 內容을 主崔者側인 Texas 大學의Archibald A. Hill이 編輯하여 1962年에 發刊한 것이다. 이 冊을 紹介하고 評하는 몇 가지 意義를 찾으면: (1)이 會議가 열린 時期가 美國言語學의 發展 過程에서 지니는 時代的意義이며, (2)이 會議에 參加한 學{者들의 多樣性이며, (3)會義에서 討議된 內容自體이다.
