dc.description.abstractThere has been a general consensus that Korean learners of English are not likely to acquire a communicative command of English even after ten years of formal education in English as a foreign language. Three things are to blame for this unscrutable phenomenon that is uniquely Korean. And the result is the egregious errors found in practical English everywhere in Korea today. In order to become a globally competitive country, therefore, Korea must reconsider her current English education system long crippled by inappropriate teaching materials and testing methods.ko_KR
