dc.description.abstract | In this article I examine empirically the state of living conditions among North Korean defectors abroad and in South Korean society, analyze the types, degrees, and causes of the problems that the defectors confront, and propose practical aid programs and policies that help them adjust successfully. Findings of this study are believed to provide useful information and insights for developing policies and programs that will facilitate social integration between South Koreans and North Koreans at the time of national unification. | - |
