Based on the author's direct and long-term involvement, this paper analyzes how the immigrant movement in Taiwan is developed. By focusing on the Alliance for Human Rights Legislation for Immigrants and Migrants, which has been spearheading the immigrant movement in Taiwan, the author analyze the framing and organizational strategies of the alliance to propel immigrant movement. As a newly emergent host of country in East Asia, Taiwan's case of immigrant movement can offer lessons and point of further comparison for other East Asian countries.-
