Abstract
There is controversial to discuss about the utility of grammar education. The

side of unnecessity on grammar education is concerning about excessive teaching

of knowledge on grammar, with not denying the grammatical knowledge itself.

There is no best way only on grammar education. The concern should be on the

eclectic view that is from the common found in various methods. Nowadays new

methodologies are used: focus on form, noticing & consciousness raising, interaction for grammar learning, and discourse-based approaches to grammar instruction
