초등학교 상담의 활성화를 위한 일 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 주된 목적은 전문상담교사의 역할 수행을 중심으로 초등학교 상담의 전문성 확립 및 활성화를 위한 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 먼저, 초등 전문상담교사 자격을 갖춘 교사들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 우리 나라 초등학교 상담의 실태와 전문상담교사 양성과정 및 역할 수행에 관한 실태를 분석하였다. 전문상담교사 자격 취득의 동기, 교과목 구성내용과 유용성, 자격취득 후 역할 수행, 초등학교 상담의 발전방향 등에 관한 교사들의 응답내용을 기초로 하여, 전문상담교사의 역할 수행을 중심으로 초등학교 상담의 전문성 확립 및 활성화를 위한 방안을 탐색하였다. 구체적으로, 전문상담교사 자격 취득의 동기 전환, 상담교사 양성과정의 교육과정 개선, 상담활동의 공식화, 전문상담교사의 적극적 활용, 체제지원, 상담 인력 및 상담지원인력의 확보 등이 필요함을 제안하고 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study is to propose ways to implement an elementary school counseling system that enhances the performance of school counselors as they work in elementary schools. To this end, the characteristics of elementary school counseling were analyzed based on the National Model for School Counseling Programs, this is one of the recent theories, concerning school counseling programs presently used in the United States. In the first part of this paper, I discussed how I investigated the actual status of the elementary school counseling system, I also discussed the programs for school counselors, and their performance based on the research survey results gathered from teachers who were qualified as school counselors. In the second part of this paper, some suggestions were made to implement the elementary school counseling system. The necessity for motivational change for teachers to achieve certification as a school counselor, improvements in the curriculum for school counselor trainees, the formulation of counseling activities in the elementary school and essential systematic support was suggested and discussed.
