An Analysis on the Trip Structure in Seoul With Application of Graph Theory

- This study has concentrated its special attention on examining the relationship between the transportaion network system, especially accesibility surface, and the regional variation of trip with lapse of time in Seoul: simultaneously on invetsigating the change of the degree in trip concentration on CBD caused by mono centric regional structure. The analytic procedures in this study are as follows. 1) The simplified bus line network was assumed to represent the basic transportation network structure. And in order to produce the accessibility surface, the weighted binary connection matrix was used as data. (Fig. 1 & 2, see Table 3). 2) Here, the value of scalar was considered as \the inverse of bifurcation ratio. (Table 2). The analysis o~ trip corresponding to the above was 1) to examine the concentric structure through the change of trip distribution, i. e. the trip density and regional weight of trip. 2) And to examine the sectoral structure through the nodal structure of trip. The data for bus line network were available from the traffic surveys in 1960, • 64, '68, '70, • 73 & '78 and those for trip the OlD survey of KIST (Korean Institute of Science & Technology) in 1970, '73 & · 77.
In these contexts, this study has come to the following conclusions.
