Some fossil slope deposits and block streams were recently discovered in the southern part of Geoje Island in Korea. The fossil slope deposits which are stratified interdigitate with solifluction deposits and greze litees (Guillien,1951) occurs on relatively steep slopes and composed of small angular particles, up to 2~ 3cm in diameter, together with finer fractions. This sediments are coarsely bedded, modenately sorted and essentially frost shattered debris of hornblende granite and andesite, the nature of which depends upon the bedrock. Frost heaving of the ground surface leads to the downslope movement of material by frost creep or solifluction. Blocks were produced by mechanical weathering resulting from frost action and transported downward on the lower slope.-
