초·중등학교와 대학에서의 쓰기 윤리 교육의 위계화 방안 연구

Abstract

본고는 초‧중등학교와 대학에서 이루어지고 있는 쓰기 윤리 교육 내용을 비판적으로 고찰하여, 교육 내용을 위계화하는 데 목적이 있다. 초․중등교육과 대학교육의 위계성과 질적 수월성에 대한 논의는 해당 영역에 대한 학습이 고등학교에서 마무리되는 것이 아니라 대학에서도 이루어진다는 연계성과 더불어, 대학교육에서 추구하는 글쓰기의 목표를 달성하는 데에 초․중등교육이 어떠한 역할을 담당해야 하는지에 대한 고찰을 요구한다. 본고에서는 대학에서 강조되고 있는 학문적 글쓰기 능력을 중심으로 쓰기 윤리 교육 내용의 연계 및 위계화를 시도하였다.

본고에서는 2012년에 고시된 교육과정, 중학교 교과서와 대학의 교양 국어 교재에서 쓰기 윤리와 관련된 내용의 수준과 범위를 비교․분석하였고, 특히 표절을 방지하기 위한 대표적인 방법인 인용에 대한 내용을 중점적으로 살펴보았다. 쓰기 윤리 교육의 위계화를 위해서는 먼저 학생이 쓰기 활동에서 다양한 정체성을 지닌다는 점을 고려해야 하며, 연구자로서 지켜야 할 연구 윤리와 학습자로서 지켜야 할 학습 윤리, 쓰기 과정에서 지켜야 할 쓰기 윤리를 구분하고 교수자들이 역할을 분담하여 지도해야 한다. 쓰기 윤리 교육 내용의 위계화는 학문적 글쓰기의 핵심인 지적 탐구 활동에 기반하였다. 중등교육에서는 대학에서의 학문적 글쓰기에 필요한 기본적인 능력과 지적 탐구 결과에 대한 소통을, 대학교육에서는 본격적인 지적 탐구 및 생산을 중심으로 하고, 이러한 지적 탐구 활동의 수준에 따라 인용하기의 교육 내용 요소를 구안하여 위계화하였다.

The purpose of the present study is to sequence the educational contents for writing ethics in primary, secondary school and university. To achieve the goal, the study compares and analyzes middle school textbooks developed according to 2009 revised national curriculum and university textbooks and focuses on quotation because it is a typical method for preventing plagiarism.

The study suggests that we should consider students multifarious identities and distinguish between research ethics and learning ethics when we teach academic writing. Sequencing educational contents is based on intellectual inquiry that is the core of academic writing. In secondary education we focus on teaching the basic knowledge and competences required for academic writing and communicating the product of the quest of truth. And in university education we help students begin and continue with intellectual inquiry as well as academic writing. Sequencing educational contents about quotation is presented according to curriculum of secondary and university education.
