정치참여의 다양성과 심리적 조건: 내적효능감과 정부신뢰를 중심으로

Abstract

정치참여에는 다양한 유형이 존재하며 각 유형마다 행동이 촉발되는 심리적 기제가 다를 것이다. 이 연구의 목적은 내적효능감과 정부신뢰라는 두 요인과 정치참여의 관계를 제도적 참여(투표)와 저항적 참여(시위), 그리고 표현적 참여(인터넷 토론) 세 유형별로 살펴보는 것이다. 분석 결과, 투표참여를 유발함에 있어서 가장 중요한 조건은 정당일체감의 강도였고 내적효능감이나 정부신뢰는 영향을 주지 않았다. 시위의 경우 높은 내적효능감과 낮은 정부신뢰감이 참여를 유발하는 중요한 조건이었으나, 인터넷 토론의 경우 둘 중 내적효능감만이 참여에 영향을 주었다.

There are various types of political participation and each has different psychological mechanism. The aim of this paper is to find the relationship of political participation and factors focusing on political internal efficacy and trust in government by three type of participation; institutional participation (voting turnout), protest, and expressive participation (internet discussion). As a result, the most important factor of voting turnout is the strength of the party affiliation, not internal efficacy or the trust in government. Also, the high internal efficacy and the low trust in government have effects of increasing the action or orientation of protest; however, the high internal efficacy is the only factor of the two to cause the internet discussion.
