Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of information literacy education for the elderly. Specifically, it analyzed whether the experience of information literacy education to enhance the digital literacy of elderly people affects the perception of digital literacy of the elderly (Model-1), and whether satisfaction with information literacy education not only affects the perception of elderly digital literacy but also perception of quality of life, including economic activities (Model-2). Based on data obtained from a survey, a multiple regression analysis was conducted for each research model. The results of the analysis by research model are as follows. First, the analysis of model-1 shows that the experience of information literacy education positively affects the recognition of elderly digital literacy, and residence and gender are not significant factors in digital competence. On the other hand, it was determined that higher income and education level and lower age have a positive influence on digital capacity. Second, the results of Model-2 showed that the satisfaction with information literacy education had a positive effect on the non-economic dimension, and a lesser effect on the economic dimension, especially as age increases.
